I’ve been using this mat for about two weeks before bed and have noticed a marked improvement in my sciatica! I was not a believer before now but this has changed my opinion. The settings are easily adjustable (heat, time, PEMF, and photons) and can be set to whatever levels you need for your purposes. The mat is flexible despite the crystal lining and can be comfortably placed bent in a chair for sitting on it, so it wraps around the bottom and back. It is large for its price and has been so beneficial for my needs. I highly recommend!

This Professional Biomat by HealthyLine is truly lovely. It is beautifully constructed with very high quality materials. It is a 20 x 20 mat that is portable and great for use on localized areas of your body. I have been focusing mostly on my neck and back and it's been the perfect size.The controller is large and easy to use and the display is easy to read. The cord could be a little longer, but its a heavy duty one and can be removed from the pad for storage. The pad comes with both a sheer lightweight cover and a heavy padded cover for use with higher heat settings. They attach securely with stretchy bands under each corner.The manual is helpful. It is easy to read and has information on the different settings and how to choose the correct one for your needs. There is a mylar blanket included so that you can use the mat as an infrared sauna. An extra fuse and a sturdy zippered carrying case are also included.This mat is super heavy because of the gemstone lining and you have to be careful how you fold and store it. You can use the preset settings or adjust the temperature and time manually. It has a memory function, too. You can even set it low and long enough to sleep safely on all night.This is my first experience with a mat like this so I am still taking the time to experiment with it and research online how to more effectively use it's therapies. I am loving this mat! I have been using it once a day since I got it and I love how I feel when I'm done. I love that it has preset modes (my faves are 1, 2 and 4 for sleep, relaxation, and recovery). I haven't played with making my own modes yet but it's nice that that's an option too. It's really easy to use - plug it in and go.It comes with a carry case, a sauna blanket, an extra fuse, a warranty card, a cushioned cover, a non-cushioned cover, and the mat itself. I use the non-cushioned cover between the mat and my couch for a little extra protection. I like that it has a cushioned cover too. Haven't really used it but it's perfect if you plan to sleep on the mat or sweat a lot.The lights come on and I love red light therapy. You can also use it without the red lights. In two of my pics, you can see the stones. They are tightly sewn in which makes the mat heavy but very secure. It also has straps along the back of the mat to attach to a chair. Cool addition.Everything about this mat feels so nice. I have tried the sleep mode on my legs and woke up with them feeling relaxed and at ease after a long day of walking before. I've used it on my legs, my calves, my feet, my back, and my chest. I love it! It's so versatile and does so many things. Highly recommend!

I ordered this mat from HealthyLine, and I'm really happy with it. I actually have a full length mat from this brand that I ordered many years ago that is still working fine. I was excited to get this one, because the big one is big and bulky, and sometimes I just want to focus on smaller areas. This one is 20x20, and it comes with a heavy duty controller and plug-in as well as two different covers and a manual. The one cover is very thick and padded, and I don't use it when I work with the mats so I can get the most out of the lights. It's full of crushed up stones, so if you haven't had anything like this before, you will realize quickly it's unusually heavy. The full length mats are very heavy because of it, however, they aren't too heavy to carry. So, because of that it's not going to be a soft and comfy mat, but if you have the thick padded cover on it will help with it. That doesn't bother me since I want the rocks in there. The power cord is very heavy duty and thick so you don't have to worry about much with it. The power cord is specially designed for this mat, so you do need this brand's power cord in order for this to work. The power cord is long enough for what I need, and I like that there is a separate cord coming off of it for the connected remote so it's easier to access. There are numerous options such as heat, timer, PEMF, photon lights, and there are some preset buttons on the bottom. For the heat option, you can manually change what temperature you want, and it actually gets quite hot. It is the same for the PEMF which is electromagnetic hertz frequencies. I personally like to set it to the Earth frequency often to help me, but you either have to choose 7 or 8 Hertz since there isn't an in between. The Earth frequency is 7.83 HZ. I'm strongly affected by solar energy, so I never use these mats with higher hertz during extreme solar activity like solar storms, flares, CME's, plasma filament eruptions, etc. For example, those sun phenomenons can make me really anxious and overstimulated, and if I add a mat with a higher frequency it can really backfire and feel worse so I can't. You can do some intuitive research to find out what what hertz would work for whatever you are having issues with as it's easily found online. I've been dealing with some pretty intense stuff that I won't go into, and my practitioner actually has one of these mats that she uses in her practice for sessions. Initially, she told me I couldn't handle it so I had to get to a certain point before I started adding it in. When I use it on certain higher frequencies, I noticed my body detoxes heavily both emotionally and physically, so I would start slow. I would say after a month of a schedule is when I would notice a big release especially if I used it more frequently. I can also notice this with my moon cycle. I'm assuming someone that feels incredibly awesome and doesn't have a bunch of serious issues would have a much different experience. With this particular mat because it is smaller I either put it right behind me over a pillow while I am sitting up watching a show, or I put it under my feet. In fact, I've been using it under my feet everyday now since it's very cold but not cold enough to turn on the heat yet. I can also sleep with it this way, and I would just keep the hertz around 1-4 to avoid stimulation. My animals like these mats, and they actually choose them when I have them on especially if they are warm and it's cold out. The child in the house also uses them. Overall, my experience with this company is their products are a very high quality and are made to last. I also feel with the proper positive intentions and research, they have been a great asset in my journey where I notice a big difference, thank you.

The magnetic tool it comes with worked the first day, letting me know the pemf system was working but by day 5 I went to test it again and nothing. Its laid in the same spot, with no water damage so for $2000 i’d expect more. Maybe this one is defective but it’s definitely getting exchanged and I will update when the new mat comes.Beyond that, its nice and warm to lay on but not really worth the money..

This pad is amazing. I can't pry myself off of it and when I do, within seconds it is taken over by one of my two cats.Also the customer service is exceptional. Had an issue with the controller and they're sending a replacement. I will for sure be investing in a full size one with photons because if this is as good as it is I imagine that one is even better.

This is a very nice mat, very well made. It came with a cloth case to store it in, two covers, a padded one and a thin protective one. The cord it comes with has a controller attached and was very hard to plug into the mat, I was worried I was going to break it, but eventually got it connected. It came with a survival mylar space blanket to use with it to help keep the heat in and a random small metal piece that I have no idea what it is and can not find anything that says what it is. It has 7 different types of gemstones in it, which makes it heavy (15lbs). It has lights for infrared or photon use but unfortunately my mat has a row of lights in it that does not work which is a reason I gave it 3 stars. It is a hard mat to lay on without the cushion, but if you want to use the lights they recommend not using the cover. I enjoy laying on it, I use it everynight, it is very relaxing. I am disappointed for the price that it's defective. The price point is the other reason I gave it 3 stars, I understand gemstones are expensive but $900 seems very pricey for the size.

**Update - I've had this for almost 3 years, and it's still working great and working well for me. I've went through periods of time where I forgot about it and put it away, and the past few months I've been using it again more. I'm working with a professional monthly long term for some serious issues, and she actually has this exact mat and brand in her office offering sessions for clients which surprised me. When I first started seeing her I was in bad shape. I told her I had the same mat as her, and I asked her what frequency I should use. She said back then my body couldn't handle it yet. After a few months with her I finally was ready and started working with the mat again which is helping very much. **I ordered the HealthyLine Rainbow Chakra Mat Gemstone Heating Pad with Negative Ions and Red Photon Lights - Inframat Pro 3rd Edition - Firm (Small 40 x 20 inches). This is a very heavy mat and almost 20 lbs. It comes with a dust protector and a quality pad that goes around the mat along with a bag, the product catalog (that's impressive), warranty info, extensive directions in a large, high quality booklet, and an extra bulb it looks like. There is a very heavy duty and thick plug that you plug into the mat for your power source. You may need to use a little bit of muscle at first to push it in there so it is flush. The controller is large and lights up.First, you can choose the temperature which goes all the way up to 158 degrees. You can switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius. You have a timer, a PEMF setting that goes up to 30hz, and a photon light settings. The photon lights will go off after an hour which you could restart if you would like.I'm not going to go to into the directions because they are very extensive and the very high quality manual explains all of this since everybody is going to have different needs. Personally, I want all of these features every time I first get in the mat, but you can pick and choose if you only want certain ones. There are rules as well with each one to make sure you don't overdo it, they give recommendations, and they explain in detail and answered several of the questions I may have had. If you are putting this up to the highest setting with heat, they don't recommend going past a certain time, and with anything like this, you need to drink a large amount of quality water before and after because this uses a lot of energy and resources. The highest heat setting is known as a sauna setting. Personally, I would not do any cold showers or get in the cold after you receive these frequencies so your body can reap the rewards of the heat. I use a terahertz wand that has heat, and you are not supposed to get your body cold for 4 hours after using one of these heated devices so your body can heal better as the heat penetrates deep into the cells and bones. Heat is a very important for some, and others it is actually negative where they need cold or ice cold since every issue in the body requires different things. Personally, some things flare up if I have the heat setting on so I avoid it now. You can even sleep on this at night, and they talk about this, you will just want to be careful with the temperature. I don't feel it's comfortable to sleep on, however, as it's a hard, heavy mat.I ordered the small version, and it seems like this is the smallest of these body mats that the company has. They do have small, square ones that are meant to be on a chair. I'm 5 ft 4, and if I lie flat on this mat, I can actually match up my chakra system with the chakra system in the mat. If you hit the photon button, you can have all red lights, or you can turn it off and back on and have all red lights. They recommend using the padded cover to protect the mat from sweat. I did notice some information on their website and the manual contradicted itself regarding keeping the cover on, ultimately I read you will still receive the therapy regardless if the cover is on as it goes through it. I would just avoid layers of clothes.The frequency of Earth is 7.83 hertz, and you could set your mat to that frequency. You have to choose number 7 or 8 as there aren't fractions in setting. You can intuitively look up frequencies for certain issues or ask a professional if you're working with one. They're all over the board.I have tried the hottest and sauna setting which is incredibly hot. I can handle it, but it can make you pretty sweaty especially depending on the climate you are in. I can tell that uses a great deal of resources, and if you are new to this type of healing or you are not seasoned in detoxing your body, you could have a Herxheimer reaction. That's when your body releases and detoxifies too fast where it can be uncomfortable. I don't have any time to be slow in my life and have a lot on my plate, so I jumped all in with this using it several hours a day. The mat has seven sections, with colors coordinated for their associated Chakra gemstone/region: amethyst, sodalite, blue lace agate, carnelian, red jasper, green and yellow aventurine. Additionally, there is colored lighting attuned to each Chakra/gemstone. This serves to channel one’s focus and energy in accord with the Chakra sequences.The mat functions well as a heating pad. It offers Far Infrared Heat for therapeutic applications, for muscle and joint ache/pain relief. Further more, the effect of the Far Infrared and heating upon the gemstones delivers an instance akin to hot stone massage therapy.This is the small version of the heating pad, and still weighs in at 15 lbs. So, it has more heft than a normal heating pad (to be expected, with the incorporation of gemstones). Let me say up front that I know nothing about chakras and such things. I subscribe to a different religion. However, I also have chronic pain and stiffness issues due to unfortunate medical occurrences in my life which healthy eating and lifestyle have not touched, so if Amazon offers me a free heated mat through Vine that might help, I'll give it a go.This mat arrived at a good time for me to test it. I had been doing yard work all week. My back was stiff and threatening to go out, and walking was a bit painful. I set up the mat on our bed with the cushion on top, let it preheat for 30 minutes, laid down on it, and promptly fell asleep. When I got up 40 minutes later I felt just as stiff as before. The mat is hard and pretty flat, so the small of back and the neck don't make full contact to get the most benefit, and the top of shoulders, of course, make no contact at all. I honestly think my portable heated shiatsu massager (which costs a lot less than this and isn't as heavy) would have done a better job, and I will be getting that out later.I noticed some issues when setting up the mat. First off, it's heavy, 18 lbs, so keep that in mind if you have to move it around. I also had difficulty getting the controller plugged into the mat. It was very resistant to sliding on, but I finally got it on with some effort.Some of the recommendations say to use it for 30-90 minutes at certain settings, but the lowest timer setting is 1 hour and it can only be changed in one hour increments, from 1-12 hours. I would think they could be more precise for $899.The controller lights do not stay on after setting it, although you can still dimly read the numbers, and they will light back up if you push a button.Photon lights need to come in contact with skin directly, but the booklet also says you should use the mat only with a cover to keep it clean and protect your body from the hot gemstones, so apparently the lights have to be used without heat. (I read elsewhere in the booklet or website that the lights could be used with low heat. I think they need to clarify the whole heat/light/cover thing.)I set the mat to 130 degrees. After it had been on over an hour, with me on it for 40 minutes, the mat read 124-129 directly (under the cushion), and on top of the cushion 84-90 with a good quality IR thermometer, taking readings across the mat.The cushion is suppose to be cotton. The bottom is not cotton, more like a nylon or polyester. If the top of the cushion is actually cotton it is mercerized because it looks shiny. I don't know what it is stuffed with. There was no tag attached to the cushion giving composition or care instructions. There was a separate thin waterproof cover also included, along with what looks like a regular Mylar emergency blanket. One edge of the pad where the logo is appears to be vinyl. I'm pretty sensitive to smells, and either the pad or the cover were bothering me a little.A plastic tube containing a tiny metal cylinder was also in the box, but I saw no mention of it in the instructions and don't know what it's for.Keep in mind these are preliminary observations which I wanted to share. I will continue to use the mat, explore the website for possible hints, and update if I find the mat to be of benefit, although it's going to have to be a lot more impressive than what I've seen so far to justify the price tag.

Product works great for hip bursitis. Temperature gets really hot, so you must be careful. Worth the money and actually helps pains in body.
