Green Beauty: Repurposing Everything from Packaging to Products

As Earth Day is approaching, we are reflecting upon ways to reduce our carbon footprint. Everything we do here at Mullein and Sparrow is carefully thought out and curated to align with the of the fundamental elements that we believe in as a brand-- one of these core values being sustainability in our products and business practices.

Being environmentally aware is a collaborative effort-- it takes the conscious effort of both the brand and the consumer to be equally as eco-responsible when making decisions. We don’t stop at vegan, cruelty free, and sustainably sourced ingredients-- we look deeper into the elements of our products to provide to you a sustainable way of feeling beautiful. This is why our cartons are made of recycled materials, our bottles are entirely made of glass, and our products are versatile for multi-use purposes!

Recycling isn’t the only way to be sustainable. Look at some of the products you have...How can you repurpose them? How can you use the products and packaging to their fullest potential?

Think about how beautiful a small bouquet of flowers would look inside our bath salt bottles or our body oil bottles. Or perhaps when you’ve finished a bottle of one of our pure series oils, in which case you can use as a container to put other products in for traveling-- they’re TSA friendly! In the unfortunate event that your highlighter broke, we’d hate to see the product go to waste. You can simply remove the broken bits, chop them up finely, and mix them with some of our body oil for an all over summer glow. Our body oil is also an amazing pre-shave and post-shave oil! It both soothes and protects the skin for a close, silky smooth shave.

We believe that by doing our part, we leave our valued consumers with a relatively easy job-- simply recycle or repurpose our cartons and bottles when you’ve completed a product! You can reduce your carbon footprint by using each product/packaging to its fullest potential.
