Glycerin- Glycerin has numerous benefits but it primarily serves to hydrate skin and help it hold on to moisture. It also enhances the penetration of other ingredients into skin’s uppermost layers and fortifies and strengthens the skin’s precious moisture barrier. It helps to shield skin from environmental sources of irritation and works with emollients and oils to make dry skin feel amazingly soft and supple. It improves skin’s resiliency and youthful look. Glycolic Acid- Glycolic acid is a naturally occurring substance, that when used in skincare products offers many benefits to the skin, from rejuvenating to moisturizing. It is part of the group of active compounds known as AHA’s (alpha hydroxy acids) and is derived from plants such as sugar cane, pineapple and sugar beets. Its botanical properties effectively remove the outermost layer of dead cells from the complexion, revealing brighter, fresher skin. Glycolic acid is able to penetrate skin deeply and easily to slough off dead skin cells and clear up blocked pores, blackheads and minimize the appearance of fine lines. Gotu Kola Extract (Centella Asiatica)- Also known by its scientific name, centella asiatica or commonly as pennywort, gotu kola is best known in the ancient world for its health benefits (improves brain function, eases anxiety, treats infections and is revered as an herb of longevity, among others). Today, it’s one of the most common ingredients in skin care products, thanks to is potent combination of amino acids, beta carotene, fatty acids and phytochemicals—everything the skin needs to fight off the signs of aging and to protect itself from environmental stressors. Gotu kola is rich in triternene saponins, a compound that helps keep skin tighter and firmer, and is also a great source of phytonutrients called flavonoids that act as antioxidants and fight off free radical damage. Holy Basil Extract (Ocimum Sanctum)- One of the holiest plants in Hinduism, Tulsi is a much revered ingredient in Ayurveda.  Jojoba Seed Oil(Simmondsia chinensis)-  Jojoba Oil is referred to as an “oil” but it is, in fact, a liquid wax. Unlike other skincare oils, the wax structure of jojoba oil is very similar to the natural oils of our skin which means it absorbs faster than other oils.
