Tallow is structurally similar to your skin's own oils, so your skin recognizes it as its own and the nutrients absorb deeply.

It is rich in vitamins A, D, E and K. These vitamins can only travel through fat, which means water-based creams can't deliver them at all.

With no synthetic oils, fragrances or chemicals, the balm absorbs quickly and leaves no greasy residue.

Does it smell like beef?

No. Properly rendered, high-quality tallow has a mild, neutral scent, closer to butter than beef, and any faint scent absorbs into the skin within minutes. The essential oils add a clean, natural finish, and an unscented version is available.

Can I use it if I have eczema, psoriasis or rosacea?

Yes. Tallow is rich in vitamins A, D, E and K, all of which support skin barrier repair. Many VanMan customers with eczema, psoriasis and rosacea use the balms daily and report noticeable relief. Every skin condition is different, so if you're unsure, start with a small area first.

Can I use it on my face, body and lips?

I’m 64 and have been looking for a true tallow soap, especially for my face and neck. I’ve been using the tallow with coconut for a couple of weeks now. What a difference! Already some of the wrinkles have disappeared. My skin doesn’t feel dry anymore. And it’s not greasy either from the tallow. The tallow is actually absorbed into the skin and feels so nice and smooth.
