Paella Pan Care:

Your new Copper Paella Pans should be hand washed. The tin interior will 'season' with use much like cast iron.

Dry your copper goods with a cotton towel immediately after washing.

DO NOT use steel wool, steel scouring pads or harsh detergents on any copperware . Copper will develop a rich patina over time. You can easily bring back the shine with Wright's Copper Cream, the best and easiest polish we have found.

Shipping & Returns

All items ship directly from Sertodo in their original packaging.

For returns, we have a 30-day return policy on unused items. We do have a return handling fee, which is normally 5-25%, depending on the condition of the piece. Most items are at a 5%, which covers light cleaning on pieces that were opened and handled. The only time we implement a higher fee is when the piece is returned used. This is very rare.

Please ship the item back using a trackable method. Please try to use the original shipping materials to avoid any damage during transit.
Refunds will be issued once Sertodo has received and inspected the item.
Shipping charges are non refundable.

What makes the Sertodo Alicante Copper Paella Pan different from mass-market copper?

It is hand hammered from a single sheet of 100% pure copper by Sertodo artisans, a workshop founded in 1997 with production between Austin, Texas and Michoacán, Mexico. Culinary-grade wall thickness of 1.5 to 3 mm gives the fast, even heat response paella needs. Decorative copper under 1 mm cannot cook the same way.

Is the Sertodo Alicante Paella Pan interior lined and food safe?

Yes. The interior is lined with hand-wiped tin, the traditional food-safe surface for copper cookware. Use low to medium heat. Tin softens around 450°F, so avoid empty preheating on high and avoid metal utensils that could gouge the lining. When tin eventually wears, the pan can be retinned rather than replaced.

How do you clean and care for the Sertodo Alicante Paella Pan?

Hand wash with warm soapy water once the piece has cooled, then dry right away. Protect the tin lining by cooking with wooden or silicone utensils over low to medium heat, and never scour the interior or use a dishwasher. Brighten the copper exterior with a cut lemon dipped in salt or a gentle copper cream. A well-used tin lining can be professionally retinned, so the piece lasts for generations.

Can you use the Sertodo Alicante Paella Pan on induction?

Pure copper is not magnetic, so it is not induction compatible on its own. Use the Alicante Copper Paella Pan on gas, electric coil, halogen, or in the oven. An induction interface disc allows indirect use on an induction cooktop.

I have been looking for a copper bowl for a while, and finally purchased the Sertodo 2.5 Qt (10 in. diameter) bowl. It is absolutely beautiful, and will be perfect for making whipped cream. I am very impressed with the craftsmanship and it's way too pretty to store in a cabinet. I wasn't sure about which size to get, and the 2 Qt is perfect. I included the blender in the picture to give some perspective on the size.
