If you are also hopelessly addicted to matcha lattes, then this is a great addition to your arsenal! I'm a fan of Apothekary, and honestly looked forward to trying this out (or more I wanted to try a matcha that's fused with chlorella. Health nuts will testify how hard chlorella is to take in powdered form!). First thing I like is how there's so much matcha that it's tightly packed to the very top of the jar. They didn't cut any corners and fill it so it gaps at the opening, so you're getting exactly 2.1 ounces of product. The flavor is weaker than typical matcha but it still has that unmistakable grassy and sweet taste to it. It blends so smoothly and didn't need to whisk too much. Making a nice latte was as easy as mixing the powder with hot water and topping it with some frothed up half and half and almond milk, so you can pretty much make it as normal. Same for bubble teas! You really can't taste the ginseng or the chlorella, all you taste is the matcha. Speaking of which, I can understand not using tried and true superfood ashwagandha in exchange for siberian ginseng. Both are good options to possibly reduce stress and anxiety, and at least the ginseng tastes a lot better. Chlorella I feel was added to truly improve the color due to the use of pea protein, coconut milk powder, and acacia fiber to more likely improve the mixability and texture of the end product. But just assuming. In any case, this is quite delicious and gives you easy and creamy drinks in every try. For something different, this is still nice to try. However due to the hefty value, waiting for a sale could be the most ideal time to get your matcha on!
